Northside Soccer Registration for City League Outdoor Groups

We are offering city league outdoor soccer for boys and girls U7 through U19 age groups and will enter teams based on our registration numbers.

Northside cannot and will not guarantee that teams will be entered for every age/gender group and at every level of play. This depends on registration numbers as well as sufficient volunteer team officials.

Payment structures and evaluations are based on the above age groups; however, if there are suitable players registered CNS will enter teams in age appropriate groups  (U9, U11, U13, U15, U17).

Academy Fees

Calgary Northside introduced technical sessions several years ago included with registration fees. The quality of play has increased in city league soccer and in order to offer Northside players more opportunity for training, we are introducing an academy fee. Academy fees will cover the following:

U7/U8:  1.0 hr weekly player clinics
U9 to U19:  15 hrs of team technical training

The academy fee is going to provide for technical sessions this outdoor season covering the cost of PASS technical trainers.  The technical sessions are also intended to provide a resource to our volunteer coaches and team managers.

Teams with PASS Head Coaches as team coaches have mandatory academy training and will also pay extra Head Coach fee.  The cost will be $100 per player; which will be charged against your credit card, when teams and player placement has been finalized.

CNS relies on volunteers to step forward with their time and energy so that our Club can offer a high-quality program at a reasonable cost. There are many opportunities for parents to volunteer with the Club.  At the time of registration, Northside collects a $150 volunteer deposit.  Each volunteer role works towards a credit towards your deposit.  At the beginning of each season, a volunteer tracking spreadsheet is sent to the team.  This spreadsheet is the supporting documentation to process refunds for accounting purposes; that is, this spreadsheet is needed for bookkeeping in the event the club is ever audited or any questions arise from the CNS accountant.  Volunteer deposits will be refunded based on your team's spreadsheet submission at the end of each season.  Please address any questions or concerns you may have to your team officials or volunteer deposit co-ordinator regarding the status of this refund.  Further details can be found on our Volunteers page.

Northside requires two deposits: $150 for uniform (for each registrant) and $150 volunteer deposit (one per family).

  1. If you are paying the uniform deposit by cheque, they should be postdated to April 15, 2020 and volunteer deposits are due at time of registration.
  2. If you paid online, cheque deposits aren't required as your credit card number is sufficient.

*** U7 and U8 registrants are not required to submit a uniform deposit as a CMSA sponsor will supply uniforms.

Northside Soccer registration fees do not include the following expenses which may be applicable or desired by the teams or parents:

  • a practice ball, shin guards, and footwear
  • tournament and travel expenses
  • team social events
  • additional practice fees
  • additional training and/or fitness sessions
  • additional fees that may apply for Tier I, II, III and IV teams
  • additional fees for teams coached by PASS
  • individual or team photos

Late Registration Fees
