1. Overview
Calgary Northside Soccer (CNS) offers uniform, tracksuit and backpack personalization as an optional courtesy service. This service is not standard practice across most clubs, which is why personalized jerseys are rarely observed during CMSA match days. Personalization supports item identification and contributes to team identity, player pride, and a sense of belonging.
2. Customization Method
All personalization is completed using custom name transfers supplied by Stahls.
- Transfer production costs exceed the individual fee collected from families.
- To maintain affordability, CNS submits one bulk order for the entire club rather than individual orders.
- Bulk ordering is the only cost‑effective method of providing personalization.
3. Payment and Turnaround Time
Processing timelines are dependent on the following sequential steps:
- Team Manager Preparation (7–10 days)
- Organizing uniform and tracksuit sizing
- Collecting personalization information
- Collecting funds from all participating families
- Order Submission (1–2 days)
- The Volunteer Uniform Coordinator prepares and submits the bulk order once all funds are received.
- Supplier Fulfillment (7–10 days)
- Transfers are produced and shipped by Stahls.
- Timelines are subject to UPS delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Transfer Processing (1–2 days)
- Upon receipt, the Volunteer Uniform Coordinator organizes, prepares, and sorts all transfers.
- Gear Collection (1–2 days)
- Team Managers gather and deliver the required gear to the Uniform Coordinator.
- Heat‑Pressing (1–3 business days)
- Transfers are applied to each item.
- Duration varies based on volume.
4. Non‑Refundable Status
Personalized items are customized specifically for each player and cannot be reused, reassigned, or repurposed. For this reason, all personalization fees are non‑refundable, regardless of processing timelines.
5. Volunteer‑Based Service
The personalization program is delivered entirely by volunteers. Volunteers contribute significant time to:
- Organize orders
- Sort and prepare transfers
- Collect and manage gear
- Heat‑press names onto items
This service is provided as a courtesy to enhance the player experience.
6. Order Status and Pickup
Orders remain in progress until all steps outlined above are completed.
- Team Managers will notify families when items are ready for pickup or distribution.
- Families may alternatively request to collect the transfers directly from their Team Manager for personal application.
